About UsHealthy Intentions™ was established in 2001 out of the altruistic intentions of Dr. Bernard Beldholm to help people with their weight-loss issues by offering free advice and useful measurement and conversion tools on his website. Dr. Bernard Beldholm has gathered his extensive clinical and medical experience into creating the resources on the Healthy Intentions™ website and writing his first book, Healthy Intentions: make it a habit. Bernard’s book is available for purchase on-line and has extensive information about diet, exercise and the psychology of weight loss written in layman’s terms so that it is accessible for everyone. Bernard is happy to answer your weight-loss questions (Contact Us) and invites you to participate in our on-line Forum so you can share your experiences and learn how others have achieved success in the case studies. Dr. Bernard Beldholm M.B.B.S, B.Sc(Med) Dr Bernard Beldholm, is a practicing surgeon with a special interest in obesity. Born in Sweden, Bernard came to Australia 12 years ago and completed his medical degree at the University of NSW. The rigorous Australasian College of Surgeons training program has taken Bernard to many rural locations before he decided to settle in Sydney. Bernard’s interest in weight loss started early in his medical training seeing the consequences of today’s obesity epidemic and treating many disorders such as diabetes, arthritis and heart disease. Initially through helping friends and relatives with their weight-loss issues and giving advice to patients, he developed a system and knowledge of what works and what doesn’t. Putting this knowledge into practice, Bernard ran a weight-loss clinic at the prestigious Lund University in Sweden, which had much success with conventional treatments of obesity. Outside of this clinic he worked as a personal trainer and an instructor in martial arts.
